First, some reassurance. If you are travelling from the eastern side of the world—Asia, Australia, or the Pacific—flights into Nepal are operating normally. Most of the challenges are currently limited to certain Europe–Gulf routes.

If your flight is affected, there are still workable alternatives. One option is rerouting via Turkey, which remains a major and reliable gateway between Europe and Asia. Another option is flying into India, particularly Delhi, and then taking the short one-hour hop to Kathmandu. We are happy to help explore these options with you if needed.

When it comes to cancellations, our normal Terms & Conditions do not allow refunds when a trip is very close to departure. At that stage, many services—hotels, guides, transport, permits, and other logistics—have already been confirmed and committed.

However, these are unusual times, and we try to approach such situations with empathy and common sense.

If travel becomes difficult due to flight disruptions, we are usually able to postpone your trip to a later date without additional charges. In most cases, our suppliers are understanding when the situation is clearly beyond anyone’s control, and we work closely with them to move bookings forward.

If postponing is not possible, we will refund any funds that have not yet been committed, after deducting government taxes (which are collected immediately and cannot be recovered) and a small administrative fee for the work already done.

In short, while our standard policies exist for a reason, we also believe that fairness matters. When global events affect travel, the goal is simple: work together to find the most reasonable solution so your journey to Nepal can still happen—whether now, or a little later.
